Seller Agency Council Encourages Agents
To Learn More about their Neighborhood

ALISO VIEJO, CA  July 10, 2007 – The Seller Agency Council, owner of the Accredited Seller Representative program and the ASR Designation, announced today its endorsement of the new course just released by RealtyU; The Certified Neighborhood Specialist (CNS).

According to Thomas M. Mitchell, Senior Vice President of the Seller Agency Council, “The release of the CNS course and designation is a great complementary course for agents working with sellers.  The ASR program places great emphasis on agents becoming their “Market Area Specialist” and certainly in-depth knowledge of their neighborhood is a critical part of that role.”  The CNS course was developed by RealtyU to fill a void in the practical skill set of most agents and marries together the myriad of data and community information available on the Internet,” he said.

Allen Wright, co-author of the CNS course noted that, “Many agents within the real estate industry have held themselves out as the Neighborhood Experts, but up until now there was no real measure of just what that meant.  Without any real “value added” component the marketing blurb has little value to the consumer.  But now agents can learn how to research the concise information and use the extensive tools available so as to help customers (buyers or sellers) get the best and most comprehensive information they need to make the value judgments necessary before buying or selling a home.”
