Iowa Realtors Give Two Thumbs Up For ASRŪ Course

The Iowa City Area Association of RealtorsŪ just gave it loudest applause and two thumbs-up approval for the ASRŪ (Accredited Seller Representative®) course. Known as staunch independent thinkers, who do what they want, when they want to do it; it was reported that during a recent twelve-hour ASRŪ course presentation, "Students were hesitant to leave the room, because they didn't want to miss anything," said Bonnie Hendrickson, Education Director for the Association.  "It was an amazing thing to watch," she added.

The Iowa City Association conducts over 40 classes each year for their RealtorsŪ membership.  During the recent Accredited Seller Representative® Designation Program - which specializes in educating agents in how to maximize their cash flow during slow markets - Iowa City real estate professionals who attended were awarded 12 hours of C.E. credit. Philip Schoewe, DREI and a Master-Educator representing the ASR® Designation Program, was the Facilitator, Professor and Master of Ceremony, all rolled into one.  "Comments during breaks ranged from Mesmerizing, to Bring him back immediately," noted Hendrickson.  "From the Iowa Area Association of RealtorsŪ' point of view, the ASRŪ course, and Philip Schoewe as an instructor, was a Win/Win/Win situation," she added.

Now that the real estate market has cooled, agents recognize that to win a listing and turn it into a sale, their approach and mind-set must change drastically.  As a result of the market economics shift, the ASRŪ (Accredited Seller's Representative®) has become the real estate designation for smart, cycle conscious real estate professionals.  The jam-packed twelve-hour course covers 37 key topics, including in-depth, extensive education in facilitating the pre-listing and listing appointment, negotiating the offer, value demonstration, brand positioning, ethics, and more.

Philip Schoewe manages "The Academy of Regulated Real Estate Courses" in Lubbock, Texas, and is one of only two practicing attorneys holding both the REEA DREI and the TRETAT CREIT teaching designations. His background in seller representation includes an outstanding year where he closed 194 transactions, and during which time he also listed 161 residences and closed 160 of them before the listing period ended; an astonishing 99.38% success rate. Philip has been a RealtorŪ since 1977, an Attorney at Law, Texas (BAR, 1979), a Texas Real Estate Broker since 1980, a Texas Mortgage Broker, and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in New Mexico & Oklahoma. His current Designation/Certifications include: ABRŪ, ASRŪ, GRI, MRA, CSRCT, CREIT, CRS, CRB, ABRM, DREI, CIPS, RECS, C-CRECŪ, e-PRO, SRES, and RFS.  Schoewe is also a past member of the Texas' College of the State BAR.  "I do not really teach, rather I reach.I reach across the instructor/learner barrier to discover what the learner wants to learn.  Then together we transfer the knowledge by sharing its application so that thoroughly applied learning is strategically connected to vivid demonstrations.  This form of education is selected so that pertinent facts can be better remembered," said Schoewe.
