| ALISO VIEJO, CA, May 31, 2006 – The
Seller Agency Council announced today the pre-launch of the online version
of its extremely popular two-day Accredited
Seller Representative (ASR®) Designation Course through the RealtyU® Online.
The new online version of the ASR® Designation Course presents the student
with the full courseware and combines both audio and video to add depth to the
material. Joe Kennedy, the Chief Operating Officer of the Seller Agency
Council – the program’s pioneer – takes the student through
each module in the exact same way he does in the classroom; utilizing real world
issues and examples to illustrate key points in the curriculum.
According to Kennedy, “We’ve been overloaded with requests for
the online version of the ASR® Designation Program for quite some time now,
but to convert the entire program into an online format was a Herculean task. In
the end, however, I believe we have created an excellent product that blends
audio, visual and streaming video into a very user-friendly format. Our
aim was to provide the student with an environment as close to the traditional
classroom as possible, and I am confident we did just that.”
According to Kennedy, “Their robust distance learning platform is one
of the chief reasons the ASR® course is now a part of the RealtyU® Family. With
the resources afforded to us by RealtyU®, we were able to accomplish all
of our critical objectives for the online version of ASR®. The key
for the Council was to avoid the mistake that many designations make in building
an online project: simply placing the student workbook online for anyone to read.” The
Seller Agency Council avoided this mistake by supplementing literary course material
with more visually appealing multimedia material.
Beyond the multimedia component, the online course provides each student with
a special feature – an online notebook. This enhanced feature allows
the student to take notes pertaining to any aspect of the course. When
that particular section of the course is reviewed, the online system automatically
produces the student’s pertinent notes, courseware, and the workbook section.
The full course, including module quizzes and final exam, was developed with
the goal of assisting the student in mastering the course goals and objectives. The
industry has needed a program focused specifically on representing the seller
since the early 1990’s, and the ASR® Program is the clear culmination
of that need: a highly professional online course totally devoted to helping
the agent reach an exceptional level of seller representation. The Seller
Agency Council has now provided a program in a format to meet the needs of those
brokers and agents who prefer learning in a much more personal, web-based environment.
When each student has satisfied the necessary requirements to successfully
complete the course, the Seller Agency Council automatically and immediately
confers candidacy of ASR® membership, recognizing that student as an official
ASR® Designee – a process that occurs with more alacrity than the
traditional classroom ceremony. The Council has also extended the benefit
of the first year membership to all online students, free of charge. “This
is a very important course of study, considering the current tenor of today’s
market. Agents and sellers across the country have already recognized the
need for specialization on the selling side of the transaction. It is the
Council’s sole goal to provide its members with the very best possible
support structure to help them achieve that aspiration. Therefore, we
are sponsoring the first year’s membership dues for all students who complete
the course. That’s how important this goal is to us,” said
Kennedy.
